Efficient precipitation of dyes from dilute aqueous solutions of ionic liquids.
The addition of only approximately 1.7 wt% (approximately 0.06 M) ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate to aqueous solutions of six popular cationic dyes resulted in the precipitation of almost all of the dye from the solution.
متن کاملIonic liquids behave as dilute electrolyte solutions.
We combine direct surface force measurements with thermodynamic arguments to demonstrate that pure ionic liquids are expected to behave as dilute weak electrolyte solutions, with typical effective dissociated ion concentrations of less than 0.1% at room temperature. We performed equilibrium force-distance measurements across the common ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluorometha...

The salting-out effect produced by the addition of potassium phosphate, K3PO4 to aqueous solutions of water-miscible ionic liquids, viz. 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium methyl sulfate, or 1-alkyl-3methylimidazolium chloride (alkyl = butyl, octyl or decyl) is investigated. The effects are analyzed using both the corresponding temperature–composition pseudo-...
